In May 2005, Arnesby started out on its path to being accredited with 'Healthy Schools' status. This involves a two year programme designed to ensure that the school is as healthy a place to be (for children and staff). It is not just about healthy eating, though that is one aspect of the plan. The staff, children, Governors and parents have been involved in improving provision in the following four areas :

PSHE (Personal, Social, Health Education)
Emotional Health and Wellbeing
Physical Activity
Drugs Education

At the end of the Spring Term 2007, Arnesby was awarded 'Healthy School Status' by the Leicestershire Healthy Schools Team.

Super Leaders!

	'Super Leaders' is a Healthy Schools Initiative, aimed at encouraging our children to implement and support lunchtime activities to promote physical activity. As part of the course, we were given a big bag of goodies to play with!
